Item Description

Venezuela, Scott #276a (Catálogo Especializado de Estampillas #130a), used (o), 1924, Second Series of Simon Bolivar, re-engraved and perforated: 14, stamp shows a quarter-turned frontal portrait of the liberator, 25 centimos, olive green, Waterlow & Sons, Ltd re-engraved issue of 1915, perforated: 14 (versus pf 12 of original engraved second series by American Bank Note Company), Scott 2019 catalog value: $4.75. Nicely centered, very light, non-descript. broken-up, purple-inked cancel, possibly a diagonal message cancel, over the stamp; however the lightness of the cancel and its broken-up effect leaves the main image remarkably clear, sound back, good perforations; centering and largely image free cancel warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch' offer. The stamp you see will be the one you receive.
