Light but readable DRC CDS - ASCC value $50. 2-1/2 page letter from one school teacher to another. It starts with the usual regards and then inquires as to how he enjoys teaching.... ".... you did not know the perplexity of "coaxing on the stubborn ones, and pushing on the lazy" as the poet says.". He writes a little of the surrounding area "Old Mansfield Mountain is in fair view from my district. There are some most beautiful groves here ................. There are quite a number of ponds in this vicinity. I visited one the other day for the purpose of taking some trout..... " . He then writes about what other teachers in the area are doing, including this interesting tidbit "Mr. and Mrs. Walker change situations this winter now and then, one teaching in Morrisville and then the other. While she teaches at Morrisville he teaches at Johnson and "visa versa"."

Great early piece of local history. Usual file fold and a stain as shown on jpeg which affects nothing.
