Vintage Germany Charity Poster Stamp 5 Pfennig German War Stamp. For The Survivors Of Our Warriors. Association For Germanness Abroad Unused No Gum This German Poster Stamp, Issued During World War I, Bears The Title "Deutsche Kriegsmarke" (German War Stamp) And Was Produced In Support Of The Verein Für Das Deutschtum Im Ausland (Association For Germanness Abroad), An Organization Founded In 1881 To Promote And Defend German Culture Among Ethnic Germans Living Outside The German Empire. The Design Features A Stylized Teutonic Warrior In Full Armor, Standing With Wings Outstretched And A Red Halo, Launching A Lightning Bolt As A Weapon, With Fierce Eagles At His Feet—A Powerful Symbol Of Germanic Might, Divine Mission, And National Pride.
