Vintage (Circa 1910-1920) Germany Propaganda Poster Stamp Hail To Peace, Kingdom Of Freedom, Let No Foreign Church Dominion Subjugate Us! By German Virtue! MNHThis German Poster Stamp Features A Highly Symbolic Allegorical Design Associated With The Kulturkampf, A Political Conflict In The Late 19th And Early 20th Centuries Between The German State And The Catholic Church. The Stamp Shows Two Contrasting Figures: At Left, A Germanic Warrior In Traditional Armor Holding A Sword And Laurel Branch, Symbolizing Strength, Victory, And National Heritage. At Right, A Naked, Shackled Figure With A Thorned Branch Overhead Represents Subjugation Or Oppression—likely Alluding To Enslavement By Foreign Or Ecclesiastical Power. Between Them Is A Gothic Script Placard With A Slogan Promoting German Freedom From Foreign Influence. The Text Is Rendered In Blackletter And Red Initials, Spelling “D E U T S C H” Vertically, With A Rhymed Anti-Foreign Sentiment In Traditional German Verse Style. The Phrase “Durch Der Deutschen Tug!” (By German Virtue!) Appears At The Bottom In Red. This Stamp Is Not Directly Dated, But Based On Typography, Artistic Style, And Political Content, It Was Likely Produced Between 1910 And 1920, Possibly During World War I Or The Immediate Postwar Period, When Nationalist And Anti-Catholic Themes Were Prevalent In German Conservative Propaganda. It Was Almost Certainly Not A Postal Stamp But A Private Propaganda Label Advocating Cultural And Religious Independence From Rome And Foreign Powers. No Visible Damage Or Flaws Are Present. Country Of Origin: Germany. Visible Text (Rewritten In Sentence Form): German: Dem Frieden Heil, Der Freiheit Reich, Uns Nicht Ein Fremdes Kirchenschafft Zwingt! Durch Der Deutschen Tug! — English Translation: Hail To Peace, Kingdom Of Freedom, Let No Foreign Church Dominion Subjugate Us! Most Of The Poster Stamps And Cinderellas I Offer Are Truly Old Historic Treasures? Many Are Close To 100 Years Old Or More. That's Especially True For Cinderella And Poster Stamps, So Please Take A Good Look At The Scans Because They're An Important Part Of The Description.
