Vintage Circa 1930s–1940s United States Or United Kingdom Poster Stamp Use More Wool Unused Hinge Remnant 90% Original GumThis Poster Stamp Promotes The Use Of Wool, Most Likely Produced During The 1930s–1940s When Wool Trade Associations And National Campaigns Encouraged Consumers To Favor Wool Over Synthetic Or Imported Textiles. The Design Is Minimalist And Modernist, Featuring A Blue Ball Of Yarn With Two Black Knitting Needles Piercing Through It, Accompanied By The Bold Slogan “Use More Wool” In Heavy Black Type. The Stark Simplicity Of The Layout And The Emphasis On Strong Typography Suggest That It Was A Commercial Advertising Premium Distributed By Wool Industry Groups To Reinforce Buying Habits Among Housewives, Tailors, And Knitting Enthusiasts. These Labels Were Often Affixed To Correspondence Or Packaging To Subtly Promote The Domestic Wool Market At A Time When Both Fashion And National Industry Relied Heavily On Natural Fibers. Visible Text (Rewritten In Sentence Form): Use More Wool. Country Of Origin: Most Likely United States Or United Kingdom Year Of Issue: Circa 1930s–1940sPlease Note That Any Discoloration, Lines, Or Marks Visible On The Scan Are From The Acetate Or Protective Page Holding The Stamp During Scanning. The Stamp Itself Is Free Of Such Defects Except Those Specifically Mentioned In The Description. I Never Alter Scans To Conceal Or Change The Condition Of A Stamp; The Only Adjustments Made Are Cropping Or Straightening For Clarity. We're Happy To Combine Shipping On Multiple Orders To Help You Save! Once Items Are Paid Separately, We Regret That Combined Shipping Discounts Can No Longer Be Applied. Please Note That In Order To Ensure Safe Delivery, I May Choose Not To Ship To Certain Countries For High-Value Orders.
