Zonta Clubs of the Greater St. Louis First Day of Issue Unveiling Ceremony Program - "Shoulder to Shoulder" - for the dedication of Scott #2980 32c Women's Suffrage 19th Amendment stamp, pictorial cancellation (unofficial city) August 26, 1995, American Philatelic Society (APS), Stampshow Station and an additional hand stamped Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, St. Louis, Missouri. There is a second stamp with "city hall" cancellation, Main Office Finance Unit, St. Louis, Missouri. The unveiling ceremony was held at St. Louis City Hall followed by a march to Kiener Plaza. The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial is better known as the Gateway Arch. The Zonta Club was founded in Buffalo, New York in 1919. Its motto is "Empowering Women through Service and Advocacy." The 109th Annual Convention of the American Philatelic Society - "StampShow 95" met August 24-27, 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Gateway Arch is pictured in the show logo.
