Item Description

The post offices in the 1800s used a system of numeral/Letter cancelations. The numbers ran from 1 through 13. The larger post offices are not uncommon although values vary depending on the percentage of the cancellation that is on the stamp and, for many, the condition of the stamp. Soe of the scarce to rare cancels are hard to find in any configuration and the stamps are not always in the best codnition given the elements and the length of time they traveled on the letters. Here is a quick list in descending order of scarcity:
