Raymo and I are hunkered down at home as a blizzard is bearing down on us. Expecting 2 feet of snow and high winds here in Massachusetts. My wife, a nurse, is working and probably won't be home until tomorrow.
Actually, it is fun. We New Englanders love our weather, don't we Brett Moulton!? He's up in Maine, where blizzards are weekly occurrences, practically year round.
I would hate to be a Door Dash driver up there right now. I can see it now....John Maloney: "I would sure like a Big Mac and some french fries! I know, I'll call the local Maine Door Dash and they'll have it to me in no time!" Three weeks later....(Knock on door) "Hi, this is Brett with your Door Dash order". John proceeds to chunk the entire bag into the crik for his voracious clan of hungry beavers to devour..

Meh.....I need to get blizzard slammed at least once per season. My stamp den overlooks the mountains, and the visuals are spectacular when a snowstorm is howling. With the wood stove keeping me cozy, there's nothing like a hot cup of Joe while working on my collections.
When I was a kid, the people who lived across the street got a snowblower. They were the first in the neighborhood to get one and it was the first I'd ever seen. Everyone was talking about it. It was cool to see. Then the man across the street got his hand caught in it and lost his fingers. That amazing machine became a cautionary tale and people in our vicinity kept their snow shovels. When I got older, I heard it was alcohol related which was another cautionary tale. I've never mixed snowblowing and alcohol and I've never been tempted to stick my hand into my machine. But back in my shoveling days, I was known to take a nip.
A Hard Risin' Morning Without Breakfast, by Chicago:
Today when I awoke The morning blues hung over me So, I looked it straight in the eye I jumped into the shower For 'bout an hour Aw it was fine Yeah, It helps me all the time It's soothin' to mind Just to see those blues Go slippin' down the drain Now I usually have my breakfast Which consists of tasty spam Yeah, I could eat it all day long But I only love one brand And I can't find it way out here So, I have to take a pass And settle for some hash When I drive and you're not here Oh, sweet sweet spam

We got jipped in the Catskills this time around since we're on the western edge of the storm...only 3" of snow so far
Yawning seems so contagious. Be happy farting isn't.
I'm dyslexic
Today when I awoke
The morning blues hung over me
So, I looked it straight in the eye
I jumped into the shower
For 'bout an hour
Aw it was fine
Yeah, It helps me all the time
It's soothin' to mind
Just to see those blues
Go slippin' down the drain
Now I usually have my breakfast
Which consists of tasty spam
Yeah, I could eat it all day long
But I only love one brand
And I can't find it way out here
So, I have to take a pass
And settle for some hash
When I drive and you're not here
Oh, sweet sweet spam
